Graham Lewis FCA
Chairman/ Founder and Director
In 2005, Graham founded GLX with a clear vision: to offer outsourced finance director services to small and medium-sized businesses. His core principles were to provide a professional and proactive advisory service that focused on the commercial aspects of cash generation and profit.
Over the years, GLX has grown while staying true to those core principles. The expansion of the firm has been driven by the recruitment of exceptional staff with strong interpersonal skills, and Graham takes great pride in the fact that GLX upholds these high standards.
Graham provides corporate finance services, specialising in facilitating the sale and purchase of companies, offering valuable advice to prepare businesses for sale to maximise value for shareholders.
With his extensive experience across multiple sectors, Graham continues to provide finance director services, ensuring clients benefit from his wealth of knowledge.
Jack Presland FCA
Managing Director
Jack became a valued member of GLX in 2013, joining the team after successfully completing his ICAEW exams with a regional firm. Since then, he has played a pivotal role alongside GLX’s founder in shaping the firm into what it is today and assuming the position of managing director.
In addition to his responsibilities in running the firm, Jack serves as an outsourced finance director for a number of clients. This role has allowed him to accumulate extensive experience across various sectors, including construction, property, software as a service (SAAS), motor, hospitality and leisure, and manufacturing.
Jack’s expertise extends beyond financial management. He possesses a wealth of knowledge in tax planning and has been instrumental in assisting businesses with corporate restructuring. Furthermore, he has provided valuable guidance to high-net-worth individuals in mitigating their inheritance tax liabilities.
With his comprehensive skill set and experience, Jack continues to make a significant impact at GLX, ensuring that clients receive exceptional support and strategic advice in all aspects of their financial affairs.
Grant Miles ACA
Director
Grant joined the GLX group in 2019 after working for a UK Top 25 accounting firm, where he attained his chartered accountancy (ACA) qualification.
His career primarily focused on working as an auditor for medium sized corporate clients, however also spent time working within Insolvency and corporate recovery; both of which has given him a wide range of experience to draw upon.
Grant now heads up our practice division, providing bespoke accountancy, taxation and business advisory services, primarily to owner managed businesses, SME’s and individuals. He is passionate about using cloud accounting and technology to assist businesses and streamline their finance department, with a particular focus on automating finance systems to ensure they operate efficiently and provide insightful, timely reporting.
Graham Dale ACA
Director
Graham, who joined GLX in 2017, collaborates with businesses spanning diverse industries, offering outsourced finance director services. He forms close partnerships with owner-managers and directors, providing invaluable support in the financial management of their companies.
Graham’s expertise shines in areas such as cash flow management and forecasting, as well as the development of Management Information (MI) reporting to enhance stakeholders’ comprehension of financial performance. He also offers valuable advice on corporation tax matters.
In addition to his primary role, Graham serves as a valuable resource for the GLX team, providing guidance on the technical aspects of accounting and tax regulations. He remains up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax legislation, ensuring that the team stays well-informed and equipped to deliver exceptional service to clients.

Helen Hunt ACCA
Manager
Helen started at GLX in early 2022 after embarking on a career journey that began as a Secondary Maths teacher and later led her to complete her ACCA qualification in a previous practice role.
With 7 years of experience in general practice, Helen has gained valuable expertise across various sectors and responsibilities. Her specialisation lies in onboarding new clients, using her extensive knowledge of Xero to provide training and assistance in implementing the software into their businesses.
Within her role at GLX, Helen manages a diverse portfolio of clients, with a particular focus on the hospitality and property industries. She excels in preparing statutory accounts, management information, handling self-assessment tax returns, and providing valuable tax and dividend planning advice.
Will Moy ACA
Manager
Will has been part of the team since July 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles in large international and regional accountancy firms. Will’s dedication and hard work has seen him obtain his ACA Chartered Accountant qualification.
Will oversees a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors but has developed a genuine specialism for working with owner-managed businesses. He understands the unique needs and challenges faced by these companies and is committed to providing them with exceptional service, tailored to their specific requirements.

Charles Two ACA
Client Manager
Charles joined the GLX team in 2021 and has since taken on the role of managing a diverse client base, providing a wide range of accounting services. From accounts preparation to VAT and personal tax, Charles ensures that his clients receive comprehensive support in all aspects of their financial affairs.
With a significant portion of his client base consisting of construction companies, Charles has developed a specialisation in Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) compliance. He has in-depth knowledge and experience in preparing company accounts and conducting corporation tax calculations specifically tailored to businesses within the construction industry.

Kirsty Freezer FCA

We welcomed Kirsty to the team in 2022, bringing with her nearly a decade of experience from a local accountancy firm. Her dedication and hard work have paid off as she achieved her FCA status in the same year, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012.
Kirsty’s role at GLX involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, individuals, and sole traders, providing invaluable assistance with both Accountancy and Taxation matters.

Jack Wenham ACCA

Jack joined the team back in September 2017, and quickly obtained his AAT Level 4 qualification in 2018 and continued his studies, achieving ACCA qualification in April 2022.
Throughout his time with the firm, Jack’s accountancy knowledge has flourished, leading to his progression from Assistant Accountant to Client Manager.
With a growing client portfolio, Jack now manages a diverse range of clients across various sectors, providing comprehensive support in all accountancy matters, including accounts and taxation compliance. Office Manager
Melissa, the Office Manager at GLX, joined the team in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of experience in executive-level assistance and operations.
In her role, Melissa is the driving force ensuring that everything runs smoothly. From company secretarial tasks and client onboarding to compliance matters, she handles all the non-technical aspects of our operations with utmost efficiency and professionalism. Cheryl Shields AATQB
Payroll Manager
Cheryl, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in accounts and payroll, joined GLX in 2021. In the past two years, she has achieved qualifications as an AATQB and ICB Level 3 Payroll Management.
Driven by her passion for all things payroll, Cheryl now holds the role of Payroll Manager at GLX. Managing payrolls for companies of varying sizes and across different industries, no matter the scale or complexity, Cheryl approaches each client with equal dedication and expertise.
Recognising the significance of retaining talented employees in today’s business landscape, Cheryl understands the crucial role that excellent payroll services play. She takes immense pride in her meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of payroll administration is handled with precision and accuracy.
Racheal Harbord
Payroll Manager
Racheal joined the team in September 2003 with the goal of gaining valuable experience while pursuing her studies in AAT level 2. Her hard work paid off as she successfully achieved AAT level 4 and graduated from City College.
Having had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clients, and providing invaluable assistance with bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, and accounts, she has gained a deep understanding of various aspects of the business and her true passion for payroll.
Driven by this interest, she took it upon herself to further her knowledge in this area. In 2013, she successfully completed a BTECH Advanced certificate in Payroll Technique, solidifying her expertise in this field.
Since then, Racheal has continued to expand her knowledge and experience in payroll, staying up to date with the ever-evolving techniques and regulations. Her dedication to continuous learning makes her a valuable member of the GLX team, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and support.

Karheena Woodroffe FCCA
Senior Accountant
Karheena is the newest member of the GLX team, joining as a Senior Accountant with 13 years of experience in finance and accounting.
Having obtained her FCCA qualification whilst working as a reinsurance accountant, she later ran a successful small e-commerce business. From there Karheena transitioned into merchandising, gaining valuable insights in the retail industry.
With three years of experience in the hospitality sector, including managing the finance function at a luxury golf and spa resort, she brings a diverse skill set to the GLX team.
Ke Huang ACCA
Senior Accountant
Ke became a member of ACCA in 2017 and obtained his ATT qualification in 2019, and throughout his career has worked closely with clients in a range of industries, including retail, catering, manufacturing, and construction. His expertise lies in providing comprehensive support in bookkeeping, VAT return, and annual accounts.
Ke has a proven track record of helping clients effectively manage their financial records and ensure compliance. In addition, Ke has assisted numerous clients in learning and using popular accounting software such as Sage Cloud, Xero, and Quickbooks, enabling them to streamline their daily bookkeeping tasks and VAT returns.

Steven Hemp ACA
Assistant Accountant
Steve joined the GLX team in 2022, bringing with him his expertise as a part-qualified chartered accountant, and obtained his ACA qualification with us in August 2024.
Working with a diverse range of clients across various industries, Steve has honed a wide range of skills. He prepares statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, self-assessment tax returns, and VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy for his clients.
In addition to his accounting responsibilities, Steve also prepares management accounts for clients, providing valuable insights into their financial performance. He adeptly manages his time, dividing it between working directly at clients’ premises and within the office, ensuring that he delivers exceptional service wherever he is needed.
Abbey Taylor

Abbey became a valued member of the team in April 2022, infusing it with her enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure following her relocation from Liverpool.

Duncan joined the team in 2017, embarking on an exciting career change, and with dedication and determination he recently achieved his AAT Level 4 qualification in 2022.

Joining our team back in 2000, Jo is a valued member of our team who completed her level 4 AAT qualification in 2013.

Kerry became a valuable member of GLX in October 2021, taking on the role of Assistant Accountant. Having passed her AAT exams in March 2024, Kerry has now embarked on her ACA studies, keen to further her career in accountancy.
Kerry brings a diverse range of experience from her previous roles in both local and global companies. Her background includes expertise in operations management, project management, logistics, and budgeting.
Within her portfolio of clients, Kerry handles a wide range of responsibilities. This includes completing bookkeeping tasks, preparing VAT returns, submitting monthly CIS reports, generating management accounts, preparing statutory accounts, and filing corporation tax returns.

Matthew Crabtree MAAT
Assistant Accountant
GLX welcomed a new addition to their team in 2023, as Matthew joined as an Assistant Accountant. With almost three years of experience at a previous firm, Matthew has gained valuable expertise in preparing statutory accounts, corporation and self-assessment tax returns, VAT returns, and bookkeeping.
At GLX, Matthew will continue to provide these essential services to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. In addition to his core responsibilities, he will also offer commercial support, leveraging his financial knowledge to assist clients in making informed business decisions.
Matthew became AAT qualified in October 2023, and has now begun studying for his ACA qualification, further demonstrating his commitment to professional development.
Millie Bolderston

Meet Millie, an Assistant Accountant who joined the GLX team in July 2024.
Millie is Xero certified and is currently studying her AAT exams, eager to further her career in accountancy.
Her ultimate goal is to obtain her ACA qualification and continue developing her skills and expertise further.
Millie currently assists our accounts team with bookkeeping, credit control, and Director-only payrolls for a wide range of clients across various industries.
